Manage and streamline operations across multiple locations, sales channels, and employees to has improve efficiency and your bottom line.

This Volunteer Agreement is made between ECAB International Limited (hereafter referred to as “ECAB International”) and the undersigned volunteer (hereafter referred to as “Volunteer”). By signing this agreement, the Volunteer agrees to participate in volunteer activities organized by ECAB International and acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions outlined below.

  1. Purpose of Volunteering

The Volunteer agrees to assist ECAB International by contributing their time, expertise, and efforts to support projects and initiatives in various sectors, including but not limited to:

  • Community Development
  • Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief
  • Environmental Conservation
  • Capacity Building and Training Programs
  • Research and Evaluation
  • Policy Advocacy
  1. Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

As a Volunteer, you agree to:

  • Follow ECAB International’s policies and procedures as outlined in the volunteer orientation and training materials.
  • Perform tasks assigned by ECAB International to the best of your ability, and report any issues, challenges, or concerns to the assigned project manager or coordinator.
  • Respect the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to, personal data, organizational records, and any proprietary materials provided by ECAB International.
  • Act professionally and maintain appropriate conduct when representing ECAB International, both on and off-site.
  • Work within the scope of your assigned role and follow the guidelines and instructions provided by ECAB International supervisors and team members.
  • Abide by safety protocols as outlined during training and project orientation, including emergency procedures, protective gear (if required), and COVID-19-related protocols.
  1. Time Commitment and Duration

The Volunteer agrees to commit to the following:

  • Time Commitment: The Volunteer will commit to the time frame indicated in the application form, which may be full-time, part-time, or flexible based on the project and the Volunteer’s availability.
  • Duration: The volunteer’s participation will be in line with the assigned project or initiative timeline, which will be communicated at the outset.
  • The Volunteer has the option to terminate their participation at any time with prior written notice of 2 weeks to ECAB International, subject to project timelines and completion.
  1. Travel, Accommodation, and Costs
  • Travel: Volunteers are responsible for their own travel costs to and from the volunteer project location. ECAB International will assist with logistics and planning but will not cover travel expenses unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Accommodation: Volunteers are responsible for arranging and financing their own accommodation unless otherwise specified by ECAB International. ECAB International may help with accommodation arrangements, but costs will be the responsibility of the Volunteer.
  • Subsistence: Volunteers are responsible for covering their own living expenses (meals, transport, etc.) unless otherwise stated.
  1. Code of Conduct

The Volunteer agrees to:

  • Treat all individuals, including fellow volunteers, staff, community members, and stakeholders, with respect, dignity, and fairness.
  • Avoid any form of discrimination, harassment, or abuse in any form (sexual, physical, verbal, or emotional).
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism, both in personal appearance and in communication with others.
  • Report any unethical behavior or violations of ECAB International policies to the assigned project manager immediately.
  1. Confidentiality

The Volunteer agrees to:

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all internal communications, strategies, and documentation related to ECAB International’s projects and operations.
  • Not disclose any proprietary information or share any project-related details with third parties without prior written consent from ECAB International.
  1. Health and Safety

The Volunteer agrees to:

  • Follow all health and safety procedures as outlined by ECAB International and the local authorities.
  • Notify ECAB International of any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements that may affect their participation in volunteer activities.
  • Maintain the appropriate personal insurance (health, travel, etc.) to cover medical expenses and emergency situations during the volunteering period.
  1. Liability
  • ECAB International will provide adequate safety and support in its operations, but ECAB International is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage caused to the Volunteer while participating in the program.
  • Volunteers are encouraged to have appropriate insurance coverage, including health and accident insurance.
  • ECAB International will not be liable for any financial or personal loss suffered by the Volunteer during the volunteer assignment.
  1. Termination of Agreement

ECAB International reserves the right to:

  • Terminate the volunteer’s involvement in the project if the Volunteer fails to adhere to this agreement or the organization’s code of conduct.
  • Suspend or terminate the volunteer’s participation for reasons including but not limited to misconduct, safety violations, or failure to complete tasks in accordance with expectations.
  • The Volunteer may choose to terminate their involvement at any time with written notice to ECAB International.
  1. Volunteer Benefits

While volunteering, the Volunteer may have access to the following benefits (depending on the project):

  • Skills development and training opportunities.
  • Cultural exchange and participation in local activities such as tourism, excursions, and hiking (if applicable).
  • Networking opportunities with professionals, organizations, and community leaders.
  • Certificate of participation upon completion of the volunteer assignment.
  1. Governing Law

This Agreement will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Kenya (or the country of operation), without regard to its conflict of law principles.

  1. Consent and Acknowledgment

By signing this agreement, the Volunteer acknowledges and agrees that they:

  • Have read and fully understand the terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
  • Agree to uphold ECAB International’s policies and contribute to a positive, respectful, and productive volunteer experience.
  • Consent to the use of personal information as outlined in ECAB International’s privacy policy and agree to abide by the confidentiality provisions in this agreement.
